Backing In.    1985, watercolor drybrush.   "There was a very dramatic sky over the lake and I rushed to paint it. Then some time later this subject grew very naturally underneath the already painted sky."

We mostly row guide boats and, having been in one before I can remember, I can draw one out of my head in almost any position.
